ABOUT ME

In May 2022, I earned my Ph.D. in Communication Sciences & Disorders and Language Science at the Pennsylvania State University. In May 2015, I earned my MA in Psychology from the State University of New York at New Paltz. During my graduate career, I worked in Dr. Navin Viswanathan's Speech Language and Cognition Lab.

Additionally, I received my BA in Psychology at the University of South Alabama. During my undergraduate career, I conducted research on the perception of audiovisual speech and emotion as well as the perception of emotion across cultures as communicated using vocal speech in Dr. Michael Gordon's Audiovisual Perception Lab.

I also earned my second BA in Foreign Literature and Languages with a concentration in the German language. My interests in Psychology and German have allowed me to pursue the investigation of speech perception and psycholinguistics.

My time spent outside of the academic world consists of reading, personal writing and enthusing over movies, music, and frogs. I also love traveling; I've been to many European countries, one African country, and several states in the U.S. I am looking forward to my adventures in academia and throughout the world!
